Here's what we can expect in the final weeks of the semester:
*** WEEK 13 (April 11-14) ***
Class 1: AP style quiz #2 (bring your AP Stylebook to class! You'll need it). Extra weekly story pitches and/or story drafts due by start of class.
Class 2: Lecture/discussion on resumes, cover letters, getting internships/jobs, JRN 400. Extra weekly stories will be due BEFORE class starts, with no class time to work on those.
*** WEEK 14 (April 18-21) ***
Class 1: Final field day: go to your beat with your team mates. Extra weekly story pitches and/or story drafts due by start of class. This will be the last pitch deadline for the semester; no more pitches after this date.
Class 2: Final projects and extra weekly stories due by end of class.
*** WEEK 15 (April 25-28) ***
Class 1: Review final projects; be prepared to talk in class about your project. Extra weekly story drafts and job shadow reports due. This will be the last draft deadline for the semester; no more drafts after this date. Job shadows will not be accepted after this date.
Class 2: Review job shadows; be prepared to talk in class about your job shadow. Extra weekly stories will be due BEFORE class starts, with no class time to work on those. This will be the last extra weekly story deadline for the semester; no more weekly stories after this date.
*** FINALS WEEK (May 2-6) ***
Section 1 (normally M/W 12:40-2:30): Your final will be at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, May 5 in CAS 237.
Section 4 (normally T/TH 8-9:50): Your final will be 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 in CAS 237.
Section 5 (normally M/W 10:20-12:10): Your final will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 in CAS 237.
